Reading -  This week our story is Frog and Toad Together. 

The phonics skills are vowels: r-controlled ar and adding endings -ed and -ing

Spelling - plan, planned, help, helped, drop, dropped, call, called, ask, asked, again, soon

Children need to write their spelling words in lowercase letters.  I will now take off a point for capital letters and letter reversals.  

Grammar - verbs for past and present

Math - Topic 8: Tens and Ones.  We will test on Thursday

Social Studies/Science -  Martin Luther King Jr. / Penguins

 3rd Nine Weeks AR Challenge - Dec 18-March 20

Yearbooks are on sale for $20 until Jan. 14th.  The price will increase to $25 after that date and be on sale until March 8th.

Yearbook ads will be sold on a first come first serve basis until all spaces are sold.  Parents can place ads featuring a special note to their child.  Ads are not limited to businesses.


Jan. 15. - Reading Performance Series Test at 9:15- 10:15

Jan. 18 - Special snack

Jan. 21 - No School/MLK day

Jan. 22 - 100th Day of School

Jan. 25 - Special Snack

Jan. 29 - Duty Free Lunch/APT meeting @6:00

Jan. 28 - Math Performance Series Test @ 2:05-2:50







Please intial your child's daily behavior calendar

Please make sure when you send in money that it is labeled with child's name, what it is for and my name.
All snack money has to come in a labeled ziploc bag.  They stop selling at 8:00
